...Clark's Classy Arrival, Sharpshooters and Tense Shoot Offs
The dick-athletes arose to a glorious day with not a cloud in the sky. Perfect weather for shooting moulded lumps of clay out of the sky with a big gun. If only the travel arrangements had been as perfect as the weather.......
Cundall got the meeting time wrong and got lost, Barnish couldn't decide whether he was making his own way there or meeting Lightfoot and Clark had to travel in the boot of Lightfoot's car as Barnish was too scared to do so.
After Cundall had arrived (25 mins late) it was time to get shooting...........
Mcmenamin 22 hits
Last year's Clay Pigeon shooting winner proved that his efforts last year were not a fluke. A confident joker was played as Mcmenamin improved last year's result by 1 shot and set a new Dick-athlon record in this event.
Austin, Cundall 21 hits
The rivals of the Go-Karting were forced to go head to head once again. Cundall equalled his 21 hits from last year while Austin improved by 4 shots. It was a tense play off with Cundall hitting 1 and Austin destroying all 3. As Cundall's joker was played he retains his place at the top of the Leaderboard. That's three events at the top. Surely the man to beat this year.
Clark, Afsar 20 hits
Clark entered the day KNOWING he would be wearing the loser suit after struggling immensely at this event last year, hitting only 11. Clark proved his fears wrong and beat Afsar in a tense playoff; both players improving on last year's results. Afsar by 1 shot and Clark by 9. Clark behaved like a Gentleman afterwards by jumping onto Afsar's back. Afsar was to have the last laugh as he rose up the leaderboard to joint third place with Jones. Clark didn't move from 9th place, broke his sunglasses , got really pissed, and lost his mobile phone.
Flynn 18 hits
Still reeling from the Go-Karting event Flynn was a brave man to show his face after such a poorly played joker. Dropping one hit from last year Flynn proved once again than when the chips are down he can hold his head high and come out fighting by clawing some points back from the last event's debacle.
Jones 17 hits
The new kid on the block is still Hangin' Tough!! With 17 hits he moves up to joint third with Afsar.
Lightfoot 16 hits
Dropped 2 hits from last year. Lightfoot's performance was below the standard the critics expected from this dick-athlete. Still held on to second place on the leaderboard despite a below par performance on the shooting range.
Duckworth, Barnish 15 hits
Each of these ex-sharp shooters Dropped 6 shots from the 2008 Dick-athelon. In an extremely tense play off for ninth and tenth place it was a case of make or break for Duckworth as he was looking down the barrel of the gun for worst joker ever played in Dick-athlon history. Luckily, for him, Last year's Dick-athelon winner, Barnish, proved that his shooting skills on the day were that poor that Duckworth earned ninth place to Barnish's tenth. By playing his joker, Duckworth equalled Flynn's dismal joker record in the Go-Karting. By finishing tenth Barnish now feels that pang of pain that has escaped him thus far in the Dick-athlon. That pang is the pain of loss and the shame of walking into a pub in the loser suit as ordinary people point and stare.

Didn't attend due to some Mahoney baloney about a wedding. Could be costly.
